FAQs

What's a date without any questions?

When will I receive my dates?

Since all of our dates are handcrafted and small batch, we usually expect a 2-3 day turnout time before we ship out. We ship our dessert dates using 2-3 day priority mail. If there is no major shipping delays by USPS you should receive your order within 2-3 business days not including holidays.

Do you ship everyday?

Given that we are shipping a perishable item, to limit travel time, we aim to not ship our dessert dates on Fridays or Saturdays unless it is specifically requested by our daters (aka our customers).

Do you provide ice packs?

Although the dates do not need to be refrigerated (but taste really good cold) during hot summer months, we do add ice packs to our orders so the chocolates don't melt or change color due to temperature and humidity fluctuation.

Why is there white circles on the chocolate sometimes?

White circles or patches on chocolate are caused by a natural phenomenon called "chocolate bloom." This can happen in two ways:

  1. Fat Bloom: When the cocoa butter in the chocolate rises to the surface and crystallizes due to changes in temperature, leaving a whitish film.
  2. Sugar Bloom: When moisture dissolves the sugar on the chocolate’s surface, and as it evaporates, it leaves behind a white, powdery appearance.

Both types of bloom are harmless and do not affect the quality or taste of the chocolate. To avoid bloom, store your chocolate in a cool, dry place.
